Find us by car
WinterGlow.ie is situated at Fr Burke Park. Simply follow
the road signs from all major routes to get here. We offer
150 paid parking spaces at Galway Technical Institute (GTI).
Parking tickets can be purchased at the entrance for €2 per
hour.
Public Parking
While street parking in the area is limited, there are paid public parking options available at Leonardos Hotel on Quay Street and Hynes Car Park, both within a 5-minute walk.
Find us by Train
The nearest train station is Ceannt Station located in Eyre Square, Galway.
From here, you can reach us by taxi in approx 10 minutes, or you can walk in approximately 15/20 minutes.
Find us by Bus
The 401 public bus route stops right outside Fr. Burke Park. Be sure to board the bus that terminates in Salthill.
PARKING BREAKDOWN
Parking
Our parking facility is located at Galway Technical Institute (GTI), just 20 meters from the entrance to Fr. Burke Park. Access to the park will be clearly marked, and parking fees can be paid (in cash) at the entrance.
The majority of the parking area is paved, and accessible spaces are reserved for blue badge holders.
Direction for a Car?
WinterGlow.ie is located at Fr. Burke Park, The Westend Galway.
From Dublin / Limerick / Shannon:
Drive to the end of the motorway at the Martin roundabout.
Take the city centre exit from this round about which will be the first on your right hand side.
You will go through a set of traffic lights, straight through one more round about and another set of lights until you reach the Huntsman bar and restaurant.
The huntsman’s bar will be on you left hand side take a left at these lights.
Continue for 200 meters approximately then take a left.
Keep going on Lough Atalia Rd. with the sea on your left. Continue driving around Galway docks until you reach a bridge with Leonardos Hotel on your right.
After the bridge you will pass through a set of traffic lights and you will have reached Winterglow!
Directions when walking?
WinterGlow.ie is located at Fr. Burke Park, The Westend Galway.
After leaving the bus and train station take the walking route through Kennedy park/ Eyre Square.
Walk through the pedestrianised streets of Shop Street, High Street and Quay Street.
At the end of Quay street (Leonardos hotel is on your right) walk over Wolfe Tone bridge.
After the bridge you will pass through a set of traffic lights and you have reached Winterglow!

Direction for a Train?
The closest train station is Ceannt train station. It would then be an 10 minute taxi ride to the Fr. Burke Park or you can follow the walking route above.
Parking?
Please park in GTI Galway car park, follow the signs for the Gate entrance for access.
Please note parking is limited.
The car park has accessible spaces available for blue badge holders. Parking is charged at €2/hour and is payable on site.
What do I do when I arrive?
Upon arrival, please follow the designated event signage. Once parked, enter through the front gate, where a steward will assist you . Tickets will only need to be presented at the entrance.
Adverse Weather Plan?
WinterGlow.ie is an outdoor winter event. We will therefore be open and operational throughout all usual winter weather conditions, which will include inclement weather such as rain, sleet and snow. We remind all guests to dress appropriately for the seasonal weather.
The health and safety of our visitors and staff remains at all times our paramount consideration. Throughout every day of the event, weather conditions will be monitored by the WinterGlow.ie team.
In the unlikely event that weather conditions on site pose a risk to the health and safety of our visitors or staff, we may make the decision to cancel certain parts of the event on that given night. Any decision to cancel would be made as early as possible, but weather can also be unpredictable.
Any decision to cancel any part of the WinterGlow.ie event will be made by the organisers and any such decision will be final.
What happens if an attraction is cancelled on a day I am booked to come?
In the unlikely event that an attraction at WinterGlow.ie has to be cancelled due to adverse weather or for any other reasons, all persons booked for that date will be notified of the cancellation via an email sent to the email address that the booking was made under.
An announcement would also be made via our social media platforms and website. We advise customers to check for the latest updates before travelling.
Full details of the next steps will be contained within the email notifying customers of the cancellation, including details as to how they can re-book for the next available date.
No refunds, under any circumstances will be possible on any night when the event is running.
No refunds will be issued for any non-attendance, under any circumstances on any night when the event is running.
WinterGlow.ie will not be liable for any other costs incurred by customers.
